ATTACK of the GIANT LEECHES
In this assignments students watched Attack of the Giant Leeches from 1959. Their assignment was to capture a video still and use it as the basis for a drawing. Part of the requirement was to incorporate limited color into the composition to reflect the emotion of the film. Below is the film and the drawings.
PERSPECTIVE and a look at Jan Vredeman de Vries
In this project the object was to learn how to create the illusion of space within a two dimensional picture plane using perspective as a tool. We focused on two point and three point perspective and its ability to create architectural forms within space. Each student selected a plate from Hans_Vredeman_de_Vries and used perspective as he did but not "recreating" his drawing. Below are the final results.
